THE JAYS is Set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside just minutes from the A14 in Bury st Edmunds . Set in 40 acres of grazing with its own 2 acres of woodland.

Regular competitions are held at The Jays ranging from 9" show jumping for the novice or nervous rider regardless of age right up to BSJA for the more experienced riders. New for 2009 commencing in August is British Dressage 

The Jays is also home to one of the countries top coloured sports horse stallions Elite graded Drumhowan Cavalier, he will be available for public stud again this year to a limited number of mares so that he can continue his BSJA career.

Meet the team

Andrea Pearman - Schedules & Affiliations 

The Jays is owned and run by Andrea Pearman, who has been involved with horses for over 25 years. Andrea has competed at affiliated show jumping, and showing at national level, having qualified for the Royal International Horse Show for the past 3 years.

Richard Colman - Catering Manager & Ground Maintenance

Richard is responsible for ensuring the arena is always well maintained he spends hours levelling and rolling making sure for perfect going. His burgers are pretty good too!!!. Richard shows the horses inhand with many success including wins at the Hadleigh and South Suffolk Show.

Jenny Welham - Collecting Ring & On the day entries

Despite being a full time music student, Jenny is a vital part of the team, helping show days run like clock work. Behind the scenes Jenny helps on the yard and is our show groom   

Dougal - Lorry dog

Dougal is a Chihuahua x Yorkshire terrier. He is the dad to the Dougalets which were born 27th September 2009
